All Lives Matter – Do they really?

When it comes to the history of African American people, there is just so much cruelty. Almost all African Americans, have relatives that were chained, branded as slaves or slaughtered. Just like that, with no one caring one bit about them, just because they had a different skin color. And now a couple of hundred years later, we still struggle with racism. All Lives Matter is a movement, which comes as a counterstrike to the Black Lives Matter movement. It indicates that all lives matter equally, and not just black lives.

But is All Lives Matter statement really necessary?

Think about it, through history, African Americans have suffered such injustices that are really horrifying to even imagine how some human beings could inflict such pain on others. African Americans were treated like they were less event than cattle. They were not even considered as human beings – they were just objects to be traded and behaved to as white people saw fit. 

And today, the number of young black males that are being killed or harmed to the point of not being recognizable, for no reason at all is rising every day. But, when you hear about it on the news, you barely think of it as news. Because that’s how much it has been happening.

The Black Lives Matter movement is not a movement that is calling out black supremacy. On the contrary, it is a call for help. It is a call to open your eyes and start acting as a representative of the All Lives Matter movement. It’s not just something that you say as an answer to Black Lives Matter, it should be a way of life, filled with empathy for every single human being in the world. 

Don’t let it be just words people! Because if All Lives Matter then there wouldn' be a need of a movement to accent this problem. It’s time to act on it! Treat everyone as your equal. And if you can do so, if you can find a little space in your heart, and stop caring about silly things as races, then the tides of change will come and bring better times for your future!
