The Black Lives Matter Movement Importance

Like a nutritional breakfast, it is imperative to consume the importance of melanin matter. We believe that this black melanin matter was the originator of colors of all life and without it, no life would matter. The Black Lives Matter movement is one of the most important protesting movements that has been supporting racial equality over the years.

It’s one of the most important movements that has fiercely battled for the acceptance and equality of every black American. But, how exactly did it start and what sparked the Black Lives Matter Movement?

It’s important for us to also understand that the phrase ‘Black Lives Matter’ simply refers to the notion that there’s a specific vulnerability for African Americans that needs to be addressed. It’s not meant to suggest that other lives don’t matter. It’s to suggest that other folks aren’t experiencing this particular vulnerability.

How Did The Black Lives Matter Movement Start?

The Black Lives Matter movement is one of the biggest movements that lead to racial equality since the 1960s.

Throughout history, a lot of African-Americans have been the target of police brutality, and a lot of them have been the victims of using unnecessary deadly force.

Race and racism is a reality that so many of us grow up learning to just deal with. But if we ever hope to move past it, it can’t just be on people of color to deal with it.

It’s up to all of us — Black, white, everyone — no matter how well-meaning we think we might be, to do the honest, uncomfortable work of rooting it out.
— Michelle Obama

There have been hundreds of incidents where a lot of people lost their lives and nothing has been done. Nothing changed over the years.

In 2012 the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin caused nation-wide movements and protests for change and justice.

In 2013, inspired by the desire for justice for these and many other incidents that happened and were overlooked, the Black Lives Movement was officially founded by Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi.

Why Is The Black Lives Matter Movement Important?

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.
— Martin Luther King Jr.
