Independent – What is the true meaning of the word “Independent”?

Being independent -  a phrase so often used in today’s modern way of life that can mean so many things. But in reality, most of the people focus on financial independence. It seems that freedom of thought is commonly mistaken for financial independence. When did money become more important than being your own self? 

Financial independence is good, after all, it’s important to be able to stand on your own feet. But none of that matters if you let yourself be influenced by others opinion. Independence means strength, curiosity, integrity, and freedom of thought. No matter what the subject is, you can’t allow yourself to not think in this modern era. All the information are available to you, and all the answers are there – if you look for them.

If you truly wish to become independent there is only one way – question everything and form your own opinion. Think outside and inside of the box, but whatever you do, think with your own head! It’s time to stop blindly accepting others words, opinions, and beliefs. It’s time to become independent!
