The Life Of A Legend: Kobe Bryant

As our Sunday went along, we heard the devastating news - the NBA legend Kobe Bryant has passed away along with his 13-year-old basketball prodigy daughter Gianna in a helicopter accident. Our hearts filled with sorrow for the basketball star and his daughter. We wanted to pay our respect to such an inspiring athlete and his family by saying a few words about his life and career.

Kobe Bryant was the star of the NBA Lakers, and what we most loved about him is the devotion to always push himself further than anyone for his love of basketball. We have seen Kobe countless times on the basketball field, performing the unbelievable, and winning the game. In fact, that’s how his career in the Lakers started, when he entered the team right after finishing high school.

On the field, over the years we have watched Kobe become the legend that we know today – by constantly scoring above the average each game, and finally taking the second place for the most points achieved in a single game in the history of basketball.

He became a legend by getting recognized and named the All-Star MVP four times. He became a legend by going beyond the NBA and getting two Olympic gold medals with the U.S National Team.

Each game that we have watched with Kobe has inspired us to do better ourselves, has filled us with enthusiasm for the game, and for achieving more in life by simply observing this amazing athlete always giving everything he has, and beyond that on the field.

What we know so far of the helicopter crash is not much, it is assumed that he, his daughter, and a few friends of his daughter as well as their parents were going to Thousand Oaks, where he was coaching his daughter and her team. Gianna was a young dedicated woman, just like her father, continuing his basketball legacy step by step. It is said that the crash was probably caused by the foggy weather, or due to a pilot error. More will be known in the coming weeks.

We are so sorry to say goodbye to the athletes as well as the others that passed away in the helicopter crash. May they rest in peace.
