Human Rights Collection Is Getting Featured In British GQ Magazine!
Hello everyone!
We have some amazing news to share with you! Another one of our most successful collections is getting featured in British GQ Magazine! As one of the most prestigious men’s magazines, we are very grateful to have the opportunity to spread the message with our collections.
Because here, at Subliminals, we don’t only create comfortable, high-quality clothes, we also like to help our customers express themselves with our collections.
We believe that – “You are what you wear”, which is why every collection that we create is designed to carry a message, besides comfort and dope designs.
And as one of our most successful collections, the Human Rights Collection is one of the most important collections that we have created so far, because of the message it carries.
Although today, the world has changed a lot, not so long ago, human rights were non-existent. It’s true. A couple of hundreds of years ago, it wasn’t so unusual to enter someone’s property in America and see chained African people in their backyards.
It wasn’t unusual to have slaves, to deny other people their right to express their freedom, or to even consider those people as humans. It was usual to deny them their rights, it was usual to degrade them, it was usual to express cruelty over them. It was also usual for women to be considered of lower value in comparison to men, to be unable to express their opinions, and it was very usual for only men to be able to vote.
Cruelty was our reality. It has stained our history gravely, however, because the action was taken, today we are living in a much different reality. Today, it’s unimaginable to even consider, little less to act as we did a couple of hundred years ago. But still, human rights are being violated, even though we have come so far.
It’s hard to talk about violating human rights in today’s modern society because we live in a very different society today. However, it’s not unusual for hate to be expressed, even today. With the social media networks craze, it has become very easy to express hate, and even easier to diminish a person’s value.
Seeing these everyday conflicts, in both our everyday lives and our social media lives, we decided that we had to stand up, not just for our rights, but for everyone’s rights. And that’s why we have created the Human Rights collection because the human rights are the very core that teaches us not only that hate and cruelty in any way is bad and unacceptable, but also because they show us that understanding, love, compassion, empathy, and kindness are the only way forward in life.
And we are so glad that we are getting the chance to spread this message wider with the help of GQ UK magazine!
