Feminism – An Interview With Jenni Ruiza
As you already know, here in Subliminal Tees we are all about equality and expression of our opinions. And it doesn’t sit quite right with us with what women have been dealing with their whole lives. It’s very sad when you think what your own mother, sisters and/or daughters have to deal with on a daily basis and everyone around you accepts is as a normal way of life. Which is why we have chosen the Feminist way. Today, we are sharing with you an interview with Jenni Ruiza – actress, comedian, old-school feminist and producer to learn more about her views on feminism, who she is and how are things going with her career!
Who is Jenni Ruiza?
Jenni Ruiza is a talented actress, comedian, and producer who started writing from a very early age. While her friends were rushing home to watch cartoons in her middle-school years, she was rushing home to watch TV shows like Honeymooners and Mama’s Family – all shows with a strong female lead.
While watching these shows, she began to identify as these strong, independent women, gaining inspiration to write screenplays with herself as the female lead. While she really loved comedy and wanted to pursue her dreams, her family urged her to go to college and get her college degree. One of her most recognizable work is from the web-show “Becoming Ricardo” where she is a co-writer and co-producer. She is energetically working on new, exciting projects in her career such as writing her very own show and making a comedy podcast.
For her, feminism is about equality above all, which is why she calls herself an old-school feminist. Check out more about her, her life, career and views on feminism and human rights in the full interview below:
