WCM – The Life of C-BO

As you may already know, we are collaborating with West Coast Mafia and have an amazing collection of WCM Tees and Hoodies in stock. We thought it was a great idea to team up with a label that is known for their legacy of standing up against injustice and oppression.
If you want to learn something more about the members of West Coast Mafia, today we will be looking into one of the members and Head Don of this West Coast Mafia Gang movement – C-BO.
C-BO was born on January “14th”, 1972 on the West Coast of Sacramento, California. He lived in a neighborhood known as “The Gardens”. The Gardens were one of the neighborhoods where crime and gang activity thrived. While The Gardens weren’t the best place to live, they offered valuable insight for C-BO on all the things that we don’t really hear about on TV – how life truly is and how our system isn’t as perfect as people might think it is. But, C-BO never saw himself as a bystander, bowing his head while chaos erupts into The Gardens.
He used his talent and created his music, through which he stood up for his rights, life and sent a powerful message – “We know what is happening. You can’t lie to us.”
C-BO’s rap is often called controversial, Tracks like F*# the Police and Another Brick from his latest album relased TODAY on his C-Day, Animal. In the 1990’s his lyrics surprised the rap scene, the listeners and changed the game completely. He stood up, he told the truth and he sent a powerful message with every song he released. One of his most famous titles – “Autopsy” and “Tales from the Crypt” have become the fan favorites, increasing his fan base immensely.

However, some of the songs brought trouble for him. He was arrested because the lyrics of the song “Deadly Game” under the charge “promoting criminal activity”. In the “Deadly Game” C-BO talks about his life, and how the system is never on your side. No matter what you do, you end up getting the short stick of the end. His frustration is obvious and he stands up for himself, conveying a message – “To hell with you all, I am going to tell my truth even if it gets me in trouble.”
Either way, arresting C-BO gave more attention to his case, especially when C-BO rapped his way out of jail, concluding the case. Earning west coast titels in the music industry such as, Mafia Boss and Mobb Father.
Oh; did we mention that the Mafia Boss, C-BO has achieved collaborations with some west coast titans? These veteran icons are considerably known in most perspectives worldwide, to be the most top 5 lyrical legends in hip-hop.
If you guess the late great 2pac Shakur aka Makaveli then, you have guessed correctly. C-BO has been featured on 2pac's multiple-platinum double discs album: All Eyez On Me, on songs such as War Stories. and Aint it hard to find. 2Pac would be proud of the progression and cultivation that his fellow former rap brother, has accomplished thus far, as also continued to spread awareness where 2pac had left off. R.I.P. Tupac Shakur.
